DESCRIPTION
An intriguing, new blend showing clearly the sense of place that indigenous variety Rara Neagra can bring to a blend. It is something uniquely Moldovan but easy to approach. Winemaker has created this blend in order to impress American and European wine lovers visiting the winery and learning about indigenous grapes of Moldova.

ORIGIN AND CHARACTER OF THE SOIL
PGI Valul lui Traian, Moldova’s sunniest region with Mediterranean influence. Vineyards located on hills, at altitude 250-300m (820-980ft), receiving maximum exposure to sunlight.
Soil: black earth, grey earth, reddish brown earth.

GRAPE VARIETY 
Rara Neagra [Rare Black] 42%, an indigenous Moldovan variety
Malbec 30%
Syrah 28%

VINIFICATION
The grapes are hand-picked from selected vineyards. Fermented in oak vats and aged for 6-12 months in new French oak barrels.

COLOR
Medium ruby

TASTING NOTES
Full bodied, velvety taste, with notes of cherry, black pepper and dark chocolate. Pleasantly long finish combining flavors of leather and toast.

ALCOHOL
14.0%

FOOD PAIRING
The wine pairs perfectly with grilled beef, lamb, rotisserie chicken or other meat dishes. May very nicely complement a cheese assortment, lasagna and spaghetti. Recommended to be served at room temperature 16-18ºС (60-65 F).
